Jones Named Sharks Foundation Player of the Month

) announced today that goaltender Martin Jones has been selected as the Sharks Foundation (
@SharksCare
) "Sharks Player of the Month" for November.
Jones posted a 7-5-1 record in the month of November with a 1.96 goals against average and a .924 save percentage. He also recorded shutouts against Washington and New Jersey.

The North Vancouver, British Columbia native came up especially big at the beginning of the Sharks six-game, 13-day road trip. He earned victories against Washington, Florida and Tampa Bay - all playoff teams last year - and allowed a total of three goals against in those games, stopping 71 of 74 shots against him in that span. Established in the 1996-97 season, the Sharks Foundation "Sharks Player of the Month" program honors the Sharks player(s) who have contributed most to the team's success each month. The Sharks Player of the Month and Year award program has donated more than $300,000 to the Sharks Foundation since the program's inception.
This is the 2nd player of the month recognition for Jones.
