Vilardi gave Los Angeles a 1-0 lead at 11:06 of the first period on the power play, knocking in a rebound.
Grant tied it 1-1 at 13:56 when his shot deflected off the stick of Kings defenseman Jordan Spence.
Vilardi scored his second goal at 2:16 of the second period to give Los Angeles a 2-1 lead, and Kaliyev scored 33 seconds later with a quick shot from the right circle at 2:49 to extend it to 3-1.
Jones cut it to 3-2 at 4:09 after his slapshot went in off Kings forward Carl Grundstrom. Tobias Bjornfot restored the two-goal lead for Los Angeles at 7:47 from the left circle.
Jones scored his second goal off a no-look, between-the-legs backhand pass from Grant to cut it to 4-3 at 14:44.
Regenda tied it 4-4 at 16:48 with his third goal of the preseason. Frank Vatrano scored 51 seconds into the third period on the power play for the 5-4 final.
