The Dallas Stars showed their support for Clayton Keller with a heartfelt gesture.

The team named the Utah Mammoth captain the First Star of the game on Friday after beating the Mammoth 4-3 at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Keller played for the Mammoth after his dad unexpectedly died on Thursday.

The Mammoth shared a video of the Stars PA announcer naming Keller the First Star.

Mammoth head coach Andre Tourigny told reporters before the game the forward wanted to play and be with the team during this tough time.
