Blue Jackets team scope

Defenseman Kyle Quincey, who was traded from the New Jersey Devils to the Columbus Blue Jackets prior to the NHL Trade Deadline on Wednesday, will face his former team. Quincey had 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 53 games for the Devils, and has no points in two games with Columbus. The Blue Jackets lost 3-2 at the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. Columbus, which enters play Sunday tied with the Pittsburgh Penguins for second place in the Metropolitan Division, is 17-8-5 on the road. "This is a team that moved some people at the deadline, has some injuries, but all this team is going to do out here is come out and play right in our face" coach John Tortorella said. "They play hard. ... We better be ready to be play here. This is a very important game for us."

Devils team scope

New Jersey again will be without its captain, defenseman Andy Greene; he was did not play in a 3-2 loss at the Boston Bruins on Saturday for personal reasons. The Devils have lost six straight games (0-4-2) and look to avoid a second seven-game losing streak this season; they were 0-6-1 from Dec. 8-20. Defenseman Dalton Prout, who was traded for Quincey and selected by the Blue Jackets in the 2010 NHL Draft (No. 154), will play his former team for the first time. Prout played 224 games in parts of six seasons with the Blue Jackets and saw 18:56 of ice time in his Devils debut on Saturday. "As soon as I got traded, that was part of my conversation with [Columbus general manager] Jarmo [Kekalainen]," Prout told NorthJersey.com. "He said I was traded to New Jersey and we'll see you in a couple of days. ... But I'm looking forward to it. It's a change of scenery and I get to meet new guys."

Status report

Bobrovsky will start after Korpisalo made 24 saves Saturday. Columbus forward TJ Tynan, who was a healthy scratch Saturday, was returned to Cleveland of the American Hockey League after the game. ... Schneider made 37 saves against Boston and will start his sixth straight game. .. Devils coach John Hynes said Zacha, who has missed the past four games, will play. ... Wood and Severson are injured and won't play. Karl Stollerty was an emergency recall from Albany of the AHL and will be in the lineup.
