Another NHL fan appears to be in line for a dog thanks to a player scoring a goal. Actually, this fan should get three dogs.
A young Columbus Blue Jackets fan brought a sign to the game against the Montreal Canadiens at Nationwide Arena on Monday that said her dad told her she could get a dog if Cam Atkinson scored on her birthday. Atkinson scored not one, but three goals in a 5-2 win for his third NHL hat trick.

It was the second straight day an NHL player delivered a new dog for a fan. On Sunday, Ottawa Senators forward Bobby Ryan scored a goal to the delight of young fan Cole Jensen, who brought a similar sign to the game against the New York Rangers.
On Monday, it was Atkinson's turn to answer the call for a young fan.
"I saw actually in the Ottawa game the sign for Bobby Ryan," he said. "I just hope that little girl tonight names that dog after me."
Atkinson has 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists) in 49 games. He has 75 goals in 286 NHL games.
