Oscar Fantenberg was traded to the Calgary Flames by the Los Angeles Kings on Monday for a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.

The 27-year-old defenseman, who has three points (two goals, one assist) and is averaging 16:46 of ice time in 46 games this season, can become an unrestricted free agent July 1.

In two NHL seasons with the Kings, he has 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 73 games, and one assist in four Stanley Cup Playoff games.
The Flames, who lead the San Jose Sharks by three points for first place in the Western Conference, play the New York Islanders at NYCB Live/Nassau Coliseum on Tuesday (7 p.m. ET; MSG+, SNW, NHL.TV).
