Mark Barberio shooting Nashville Predators Playoffs Game 4 2018 April 18

Defenseman Mark Barberio will make his season debut tonight as the Colorado Avalanche hosts the Philadelphia Flyers at Pepsi Center in the second game of the 2018-19 campaign.
Barberio replaces Patrik Nemeth, who is out with a minor upper-body injury and did not practice on Friday. Barberio will likely be paired on the backend with Nikita Zadorov, Nemeth's defensive partner from Thursday's 4-1 win against the Minnesota Wild.

The remainder of the Avs' lineup will be the same as it was on opening night, head coach Jared Bednar said following the team's optional morning skate.
Semyon Varlamov will be Colorado's starting goaltender for the second straight game. He stopped 20-of-21 shots in the season-opening victory.
Sven Andrighetto will miss his second outing of the regular season with a leg injury. He got hurt on Sept. 26 versus the Dallas Stars and has an expected recovery timetable of two-to-four weeks.
Conor Timmins participated in a few drills with assistant coach Nolan Pratt before the optional skate in a red, non-contact jersey, but the defenseman has yet to be cleared to join the team.
Below is the Avalanche's projected lineup. All forward line combinations and defensive pairings are subject to change.
