ARI MIN 11.27 recap

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Josh Archibald scored twice, and the Arizona Coyotes ended a four-game losing streak with a 4-3 comeback win against the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center on Tuesday.

Archibald, who also had an assist, returned from a two-game suspension for an illegal hit on Nashville Predators forward Ryan Hartman on Nov. 15. He scored twice in a three-goal third period, including at 8:39 to give Arizona a 4-3 lead.
"We know what we're capable of," Archibald said. "And just for us to go out there and actually do it, it's a good feeling for us moving forward."

Lawson Crouse had a goal and an assist, and Michael Grabner also scored for the Coyotes (10-11-2), who were 0-3-1 in their previous four games. Antti Raanta made 17 saves but left after the second period with a lower-body injury. He was replaced by Adin Hill, who made the save on all five shots he faced in relief.
"The first two periods, you guys saw it, it wasn't good," Arizona coach Rick Tocchet said. "We were slapping the puck around. … We started to buckle down in the third, short shifts, made some plays. Obviously, [Archibald, Crouse and Nick Cousins] I thought were fabulous tonight for us, even when we weren't playing well. The first two [periods], they were our best line. And then we got some momentum and played the right way."

ARI@MIN: Archibald picks the corner on Dubnyk

Charlie Coyle, Zach Parise and Jason Zucker scored, and Jared Spurgeon had three assists for the Wild (14-8-2), who limited the Coyotes to 14 shots on goal. Devan Dubnyk made 10 saves.
The Coyotes took a 1-0 lead when Cousins won a face-off back to Archibald, who passed to Crouse for a one-timer at 4:49 of the first period.
The Wild tied it 1-1 1:05 later when Coyle scored with a wrist shot off a pass from Mikko Koivu at 5:54.
Parise scored 17 seconds into a power play, at 2:20 of the second period, to give the Wild a 2-1 lead, and Zucker made it 3-1 at 11:21.

Archibald cut it to 3-2 at 3:07 of the third period with a snap shot in front, and Grabner tied the game 3-3 at 7:02.
"I think [Arizona] got that goal in the third and they looked around and said, 'Holy crap, we're in the game! Let's win it,'" Wild coach Bruce Boudreau said. "Because they hadn't been in a game in a long time, so they picked it up, they were playing for their young goalie, and we stood around and did nothing."

They said it

"You got to win these games. When you're down 3-1 going into the third period, hopefully in an 82-game schedule you're going to win some of those. I like the resiliency. A couple guys were struggling early and we kind of regained ourselves in the third, so that's nice. [Raanta] goes down so we have some adversity, [Hill's] got to go in net, call him up from the minors, maybe we can rally around this stuff."-- Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet

ARI@MIN: Archibald roofs shot to put Coyotes ahead

"We keep playing down to the level of competition that comes into this building. It's getting to be embarrassing to set yourself up really good for the third and they have no momentum and yet we just seem like it's a joke and let teams come back in. That's on us. That's a mental thing here. It's not that we're a bad hockey team. We're a good hockey team. We've got to play great though." -- Wild forward Marcus Foligno
