After finishing as a Vezina Trophy finalist in 2017-18, Connor Hellebuyck put himself right back in that conversation this season.

The 26-year-old product of Commerce, Michigan posted a 0.922 save percentage over the course of his 58 games played at the time of the pause.

He started 56 games for the Winnipeg Jets this season, the second most in the NHL, and was someone defenceman Nathan Beaulieu loved to play in front of.

"He's obviously been our rock all year. He should be in the Vezina talks, no question in my mind. He's been our staple the whole season," said Beaulieu. "He's making big, acrobatic saves and he seems to be having fun with it, interacting with the fans after the games and stuff. I'm happy for him. He works extremely hard. It's nice to see him get recognition. He's been our backbone all season long."

But anytime Hellebuyck was asked about his play in wins, he always gave credit to his teammates.

"It's a testament to the guys in front of me," Hellebuyck said after his sixth shutout of the season. "When we bring it, we know we can really shut teams down."
