It was a battle between the two top teams in the league.

And it didn't disappoint.

The Flames defeated the Montreal Canadiens in the 1989 Stanley Cup final, prevailing 4-2 and claiming the franchise's first NHL championship.

Sportsnet will be rebroadcasting the series in entirety, starting tonight with Game 1 at 7 p.m. Check out CalgaryFlames.com for live tweeting during the game.

Following the tilt, Flames TV's Brendan Parker will have an interview with Jamie Macoun to talk about the opener and the series.

Parker will talk with a different player from that squad following each tilt.
