REGINA - The Flames will be rolling with four new-look lines to kick off tonight's Heritage Classic match-up vs. the Winnipeg Jets.
"We going to start that way," Bill Peters said after the Flames evening skate at Mosaic Stadium on Friday. "Everything is pretty fluid in our world right now. A fluid situation. But we need a change. We need to start playing a little more consistently.
"We think these lines are good lines and will help."
The revamped trios includes moving Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan to separate lines: Gaudreau will start with Elias Lindholm and Matthew Tkachuk and Monahan will center Andrew Mangiapane and Sam Bennett.
The recently-recalled Alan Quine is expected to suit up tonight, playing alongside Derek Ryan and Tobias Rieder. Austin Czarnik, who left Thursday's game vs. the Florida Panthers, has what Peters said is a "significant" lower body injury and isn't expected to return until around Christmas. He has been placed on the long-term injured reserve.
