Brian Elliott is expected to be back in net when the Flames hit the ice at PNC Arena this afternoon in Raleigh, a decision that was made difficult by Chad Johnson's strong performance on Friday.
In the back-to-back situation in Florida, Glen Gulutzan had Johnson start in Sunrise and he turned in a 36-save game.
"Those are tough decisions but they're good decisions at the end of the day. Now, I think both goalies have proven that they're pushing here to get the net. Their games are at a good level and it's our job to keep them there.
"We rode Ells' here a little bit ... I thought he was on a good rhythm. But I really liked the way Johnny came in and took a game away from Florida. I thought that was huge for us.
"Down the stretch, we're still going to go with the guy who is getting it done and both guys are getting it done."

Elliott is on quite the run this month, posting a 5-1-1 record with a 2.59 GAA and a .907 save percentage. He is coming off of a 23-save performance in the Flames' 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday.
For Carolina, Eddie Lack will make his second consecutive start. The 29-year-old is coming off of a 34-save shutout against the Ottawa Senators on Friday.
Lack is 2-3-1 this season with a 3.26 GAA and a .884 save percentage.
