The Ducks have signed defenseman Ian Moore to a two-year, one-way contract extension through the 2027-28 NHL season.
Moore, 24 (1/4/02), has recorded 4-9=13 points with 24 penalty minutes (PIM) in 70 career NHL games with the Ducks after making his NHL debut at the conclusion of the 2024-25 NHL season. Moore appeared in 67 games with Anaheim during the 2025-26 season, scoring 4-8=12 points, including his first career NHL goal Nov. 6, 2025 at Dallas. His four goals were tied for the most by an Anaheim rookie defenseman the last 12 seasons.
The 6-3, 205-pound defenseman also appeared in all 10 Stanley Cup Playoff contest with Anaheim in 2026, scoring his first career postseason goal and point in Game 4 of the Second Round vs. Vegas.
Selected by Anaheim in the third round (67th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft, Moore earned 1-4=5 points with two PIM in 13 American Hockey League (AHL) games with San Diego. In four seasons at Harvard University from 2021-25, Moore had 9-47=56 points in 122 games, helping the Crimson to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA tournament in 2022 and 2023. He earned 3-11=14 points this season as a senior, serving as the club’s captain for the second straight campaign.
A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Moore represented Team USA at the 2022 World Junior Championship, earning one assist in five tournament games. He also helped the Chicago Steel (USHL) to a Clark Cup championship in 2020-21.
