The Anaheim Ducks are proud to stand with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) of Orange County and Long Beach to Shine A Light on antisemitism this holiday season. ADL's Shine A Light coalition includes over 50 community allies, including organizations and corporations across the United States and Canada with the goal of bringing awareness to the discrimination and violence the Jewish community endures.

An audit released by the Anti-Defamation League in April of 2022 found that there were 62 reported antisemitic incidents involving harassment, vandalism or assault in the Orange County and Long Beach area in 2021, nearly double that of 2020 when the ADL tracked 34 incidents in the region. Combating antisemitism is thus more important than ever, and Hanukkah provides an opportune time to educate and reflect.
This year, the celebration of Hanukkah begins today, Dec. 18 and will continue through Monday, Dec. 26. On the fourth day of Hanukka(Wednesday, Dec. 21), the Anaheim Ducks will host Jewish Heritage Night at Honda Center. Prior to the Ducks facing off against the Minnesota Wild (7 p.m.), members from The Chabad of Orange County will hold a private celebration outside of Honda Center that will include a special hockey stick Menorah lighting ceremony, music, food, games, street hockey and educational opportunities about the history of Hanukkah. This special pregame celebration is exclusive to purchasers of this group ticket package.
Throughout the game, the Ducks will honor members from the community with a special tribute video to air on the Ducks video scoreboard in addition to opportunities for community members to participate in Zamboni rides and intermission games on the ice. Fans can take part in the celebration by purchasing group tickets to the Ducks vs. Wild game, available only by visiting AnaheimDucks.com/JHN.
