Canadiens Red Wings

CANADIENS (27-11-6) @ RED WINGS (18-19-6)
The Canadiens look to stay hot on the road when they face the Detroit Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena on Monday afternoon.

Montreal and Detroit have already met twice this season, with the Habs coming out on top on both occasions -- including by a 2-1 overtime decision on November 26.
On Saturday, Michel Therrien's men battled back from three one-goal deficits at home to defeat the New York Rangers in regulation.
Alex Galchenyuk, Brian Flynn, Alexei Emelin, Max Pacioretty and Paul Byron were the Habs goalscorers, with the latter three scoring just 62 seconds apart.
With the win, Montreal improved to a nine-point lead over the second place Boston Bruins in the Atlantic Division.
Carey Price meanwhile will make a 33rd start this season on Monday, likely opposite Petr Mrazek.
Called up from the St. John's IceCaps on Sunday, Jacob de la Rose will be in the lineup in place of Michael McCarron.
The Red Wings ended a three-game losing streak on Saturday, with a 6-3 home win against the Penguins, but continue to deal with injury woes and will be without the services of Jimmy Howard, Niklas Kronwall and Brendan Smith.
Game time on Monday is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., and will be broadcast on Sportsnet East and RDS as the United States observes Martin Luther King Day.
