Dallas will be the team in green, but luck could be on the Canadiens' side on Thursday. Prior to practice, the Habs announced that Jake Allen and Christian Dvorak have been activated from the injured reserve list. Allen has not played since January 12 when he suffered a lower-body injury against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden, while Dvorak has been sidelined since January 24 when he left the game in the first period against the Minnesota Wild after being checked by Jared Spurgeon.
Official confirmation between the pipes, as well as any other changes to the lineup, should come following Thursday's morning skate.
At the other end of the ice, the Stars arrive in Montreal coming off a 4-0 loss to Toronto on Tuesday. It was a third consecutive defeat for a Dallas team that sits fifth in the Central Division. Currently one point out of a playoff spot, the Stars will be looking to get back into the form which saw them win four in a row to start the month.
The Jason Robertson, Roope Hintz and Joe Pavelski line will be one to watch. Pavelski leads the team with 60 points this season and has points in six of his last seven games against Montreal.
The Stars have one former Hab on the roster in Alex Radulov.
On the injury front, goaltender Braden Holtby (lower body) is listed as day-to-day.
This is the second and final meeting of the year between Montreal and Dallas. The Habs took the first game 5-3 on Jan. 18.
