MONTREAL - The Canadiens close out their 2022-23 season with a matchup against the archrival Boston Bruins at the Bell Centre on Thursday.

Here's everything you need to know heading into the game:
1.The Canadiens are back home after a quick hop over to Long Island on Wednesday night, where they fell 4-2 to the Islanders at UBS Arena. Forwards Nick Suzuki - with a beautiful shorthanded goal - and Rem Pitlick found twine to keep Montreal in the game, but New York managed to come out on top. Goaltender Sam Montembeault made 31 saves in the Habs' crease. The Islanders' victory over Montreal booked them a ticket to the playoffs, which will be held for the very first time at UBS Arena.

MTL Recap: Suzuki records a goal in a 4-2 loss

2.Recalled from the Rocket on Tuesday, forward Joel Teasdale and defenseman Frederic Allard were inserted into the lineup for the Islanders game. In fact, it was Teasdale's NHL debut and it was hard for the young winger to hide his excitement for the big moment.

Teasdale played on the fourth line to the right of Michael Pezzetta and Chris Tierney, while Allard formed a pairing with Johnathan Kovacevic on the backend.
With Thursday's contest being the second of a back-to-back, the Canadiens won't hold a morning skate prior to the game. Any lineup changes will likely be known during St-Louis' pregame presser closer to puck drop, although he did confirm that Montembeault would get the start against Boston.

      3. The Bruins are putting a cap on an historic season. On Thursday in Montreal, they'll be looking to beat their own NHL record of 64 wins and 133 points set on Tuesday against the Washington Capitals. Boston has yet to lose a game in April, with its last loss coming on March 28 against the Nashville Predators. The B's will be without some of their key players for the season finale, however. Goaltender Linus Ullmark left the Caps game as a precaution due to "muscle tightening" and did not travel to Montreal; head coach Jim Montgomery said he was leaning towards starting Jeremy Swayman against the Habs. Forward David Krejci, who hasn't played since April 1 against Pittsburgh, also did not make the trip. Both Derek Forbort and Nick Foligno are making progress towards a return, but won't play at the Bell Centre, while Tomas Nosek was questionable due to an illness.
      4. The season finale is always a special night at the Bell Centre, as it's the culmination of Fan Appreciation Week. Doors open to both M2 Marche Montreal and the VIP CIBC entrance starting at 5:00 p.m. for the final "5 à 6" of the season. Thanks to our sponsors, a large number of prizes will be handed out to spectators in the building, and the night will close out with the return of the Jerseys Off Our Backs tradition, presented by RBC, where a select few lucky fans will get to receive a jersey directly off the back of a player. For those fans who won't be in attendance, don't forget to check out the
final online Fan Appreciation Week contests from Club 1909

      5. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET. You can catch all the action on TSN2 and RDS on television, or listen in on TSN 690 and 98,5 fm on the radio. Enjoy the game! Bon match!
