MONTREAL - The Canadiens finished the season off in style with a dominant 10-2 win over the Florida Panthers.

The Habs started the night by honoring their longtime equipment manager, Pierre Gervais, who was working his final game with the team following an
impressive career
that spanned over 3000 NHL games.

The Canadiens got off to a great start, as rookie Jordan Harris scored his first career NHL goal, just 1:57 into the first period. Jake Evans earned an assist on the play.

Mike Hoffman doubled the Canadiens' lead shortly thereafter, scoring his 14th goal of the season at 4:18 of the first period. Hoffman capitalized on a rebound following a David Savard point shot.

Cole Caufield kept the momentum in the Canadiens' corner by scoring his 21st goal of the year. Joel Edmundson and Jeff Petry were awarded assists on the play.

Brendan Gallagher padded the Canadiens' lead by scoring his 7th goal of the season during a mid-period powerplay. Mathieu Perreault and Chris Wideman assisted on the play.

The Panthers responded with a goal of their own at the end of the first period, but the Canadiens quickly restored their four-goal lead early in the second period thanks to Caufield's second goal of the game.

Perreault got into the scoring action shortly thereafter, with his 4th goal of the year, assisted by Christian Dvorak and Josh Anderson.

Caufield wasn't satisfied with just two goals, completing the hat trick midway through the third period. Hoffman and Suzuki assisted on the goal.

Tyler Pitlick made it 10 for the home team, as "Guy! Guy! Guy!" chants broke out at the Bell Centre, in honor of Canadiens legend Guy Lafleur, who wore No.10 throughout legendary his career.
