ANAHEIM – Thursday’s practice at Honda Center featured a few new line combinations for the Canadiens. 

Juraj Slafkovksky rejoined his former linemates Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki on the top line, while Alex Newhook moved to Slafkovsky’s spot on the wing alongside Ivan Demidov and Oliver Kapanen. 

Here’s a look at the lines and defense pairings featured at practice:

Patrik Laine and Alexandre Texier skated as extras, while Mike Matheson was absent from the session, taking a therapy day instead.
Samuel Montembeault will get the start against Anaheim on Friday. The Canadiens are set to face the Ducks at 9:00 p.m. ET.
