Numbers Game

PITTSBURGH - Here's a numerical look at Saturday night's game between the Canadiens and the Penguins at PPG Paints Arena.

0 - Number of lineup changes head coach Claude Julien made ahead of Saturday night's contest at PPG Paints Arena, meaning that Tomas Plekanec, Karl Alzner and Nikita Scherbak were healthy scratches for the second straight game.
7 - Number of days until the Canadiens and Penguins do battle again, as Mike Sullivan's squad will be in Montreal next Saturday night for a tilt at the Bell Centre. After that, the two teams won't meet again until early March.

6 - Number of multi-goal games Byron has amassed over the course his career, adding another one to his resume on Saturday night when he beat Murray again at the 3:43 mark of the second period. His work ethic was on full display on this one.

14:05- Mark of the middle frame when Joel Armia registred his first career goal as a member of the Canadiens, burying a Byron feed past Murray to put Julien's contingent up 4-0. Armia's tally came while the Habs were down a man.

4 - Charles Hudon became the fourth Canadiens player on Saturday night to put up a number in the goal column for the first time during the 2018-19 campaign. Hudon snuck a puck past Murray in the third period on a wraparound try to give the Habs a 5-1 lead.
5 - Number of consecutive wins the Penguins had amassed over the Canadiens, before seeing that streak snapped on Saturday night in Pittsburgh with a loss in their own building. The Canadiens' previous win in Pittsburgh was back on October 13, 2015.
