MONTREAL - An updated player list for various events at the upcoming Canadiens Skills Competition presented by RONA is now available.

The Skills Competition will be held on Sunday, January 20, at the Bell Centre. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m., with activities starting at 10:00 a.m.

Paul Byron's incredible wheels will undoubtedly prove tough to beat in the Fastest Skater event, but Matthew Peca, Jeff Petry, Nicolas Deslauriers, Brett Kulak and Victor Mete will all give it a try.

For his part, captain Shea Weber is surely the favorite in the Hardest Shot event. The veteran defenseman is a three-time winner of the same event at the NHL's annual All-Star Skills Competition. Weber boasts the second-fastest shot in competition history with a blast of 108.5 mph in 2015. He will be challenged this time around by fellow blueliners Karl Alzner, Jordie Benn and Mike Reilly.

The Accuracy Shooting event will see the Habs' leading goal-scorer, Brendan Gallagher, test his sharpshooting prowess against Tomas Tatar, Charles Hudon, Kenny Agostino and Michael Chaput.

The Long-Distance Accuracy Shooting event features the Canadiens' top point-getter, Max Domi, along with Jonathan Drouin, Phillip Danault, rookie sensation Jesperi Kotkaniemi, and fellow Finns Artturi Lehkonen and Joel Armia.
