Canadiens recall Michael McCarron from the Laval Rocket

The 23-year-old forward has seven goals and 24 points in 52 games with the Canadiens' AHL affiliate so far this season

MONTREAL - The Canadiens recalled forward Michael McCarron from the AHL's Laval Rocket on Wednesday night.

The 23-year-old Grosse Pointe, MI native boasts seven goals, 24 points and 109 penalty minutes in 52 games with Sylvain Lefebvre's squad on the year.

In eight games with the Canadiens during the 2017-18 campaign, McCarron has been held without a point.

He has appeared in 59 regular season games with the big club since making his NHL debut during the 2015-16 campaign, amassing two goals, seven points and 88 penalty minutes along the way.

McCarron was the Canadiens' first-round pick, 25th overall, at the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
