SUNRISE, Fla. - The Bruins will get their second shot at closing out their first-round matchup with the Florida Panthers in Game 6 on Friday night at FLA Live Arena.
And with two road wins already in the bank so far in this series, the Black & Gold are confident in the formula they employed in Sunrise and will be aiming for a repeat showing of their performances in Games 3 and 4.

"Combine a little looser, happy-go-lucky mentality with a lot of urgency," said Taylor Hall, who has five goals and eight points in the series. "That's a tough thing to combine, but to close out a series, you know the team you're facing is going to play their best, if not better than last game.
"We're going to have to match that desperation but also be in the moment and enjoy the process and enjoy the game that's in front of us. Combing those two things are hard, but when you do the efforts are usually good."

Hall speaks with media after morning skate in FLA

Hall added that the Bruins must attempt to put themselves into their own type of desperation mode as they try to move on to the second round for the fifth time in six seasons.
"That's what we're trying to do is play like we're the ones down, play like we're the ones that can't afford to lose another game," said Hall. "I guess it is a different mentality knowing that we still would have one more game after this. But we're looking to close this out, this is a huge game for us.
"We don't want to go back to a Game 7. You know what they say about Game 7s, how anything can happen. Our mindset is do whatever we can physically and mentally to get this done tonight."

      Krejci To Take Warmups

David Krejci, who has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury, participated in the morning skate and will take warmups ahead of Game 6, though his status for the potential clinching contest remains in question.
"I'll take warmup and see how it feels," said Krejci. "I believe in every single guy in here. We watched some videos, we know what we can be better at and we'll try to do that tonight. If I'm in, I'll try to be at my best and help the team as much as I can."
Montgomery said that Krejci is still "checking boxes" when it comes to being ready for game action.
"You have to check boxes a little quicker in playoffs, but we're uncertain of his availability," said Montgomery.

          A Familiar Feel

Montgomery indicated that the Bruins could be icing a more familiar lineup for Game 6 after starting Game 5 with some new-look forward combinations. Boston's bench boss indicated on Thursday that Trent Frederic could re-enter the lineup after sitting out Game 5 as a healthy scratch, while confirming on Friday morning that Connor Clifton would sub in for Matt Grzelcyk on the back end.
"I think for the majority of it we've been really happy with our in-game management," said Montgomery. "The lines now are going to go back to somewhat we believe is where people's comfort zones are, with who they have played with the most. Last game with [Patrice Bergeron] coming back and us having the success [in Games 3 and 4], that changed what the lines looked like to start the game, but quickly went back to what is familiar.
"We thought that the second and third period because the lines were familiar, we had a lot of moving play towards their end."
