BOSTON -The National Hockey League announced today, May 12, that Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak has been named a finalist for the 2023 Hart Memorial Trophy, given annually to the player adjudged to be the most valuable to his team.

This is the first time Pastrnak has been named a finalist for the award.

In 82 games this season, Pastrnak posted a career-high 61 goals and 52 assists for 113 points with a plus-34 rating.

Pastrnak recorded his 15th career hat trick, his 60th goal of the season and 300th goal of his career in the team's 5-3 win against the Philadelphia Flyers on April 9. His 15 career hat tricks are the second most in franchise history behind only Phil Esposito (26).

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound forward was one of just two players in the NHL to score more than 60 goals this season, and just the fifth player since 2000 to hit the 60-goal mark.

The 26-year-old led the Bruins in goals (61), assists (52), points (113), power play goals (18) and power play points (37).

He also led the league in even strength goals (43), game winning goals (13), overtime goals (4) and shots (407).

Pastrnak's play helped lead the way for the Bruins' offense this season, as the team averaged 3.67 goals per game, the second highest mark in the league.
