BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, February 28, that the team has assigned forward Peter Cehlarik to Providence.

Cehlarik has skated in 14 games with Boston this season, tallying four goals and two assists for six points. He also ranks second on the team in scoring in Providence this season with 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points in 37 games.
He appeared in six games with Boston in 2017-18, tallying his first career NHL goal on November 18, 2017 at San Jose. The 23-year-old forward also recorded 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points in 35 games with Providence. In 30 career NHL games with Boston, Cehlarik has posted five goals and five assists for 10 points, while adding 41 goals and 49 assists for 90 points in 121 career AHL games with Providence.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Zilina, Slovakia native was originally selected by Boston in the third round (90th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
