Players critique their NHL 17 character models

As you've probably heard, EA Sports released NHL 17 for Playstation 4 and Xbox One nearly a month ago. Your online votes using #NHL17Tarasenko helped put Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko on the cover of the game. It's the first time a Blues player has been the cover athlete for the long-running video game franchise since NHL 2000 (Chris Pronger).
Everyone agrees that the cover looks amazing, but what do the other players think about the video game versions of themselves?
We took a few screenshots, showed them to a handful of players and recorded their instant evaluations and critiques.

Kevin Shattenkirk

Wow! That looks pretty good. That's probably the closest I've ever seen it get in a video game. The candy cane on the stick - that's right on the money. That's about as good as you're going to get, I think. I was going to give it a 9 out of 10, but since they made my shoulders look even bigger and stronger, I'll go 9.5 out of 10.

Patrik Berglund

I don't think it does me any justice. I think I'm way hotter in real life. I'm an absolute 10, but that guy - I'm going to be humble and say he's a 5. But in real life, I'm a 10.

Carl Gunnarsson

I'll give them a 2.5 out of 5 for that one. It's not crazy good, but I can see the resemblance a little bit. It'll do OK. They got the eyebrows right - I have none - and they got the number, the bucket and the visor right. They even have the right stick, so that's worth something! The chin strap is pretty good, too, because I always wear it low. They have good attention to detail - not all the way, but maybe I'll bump it up to a 3 out of 5.

Alexander Steen

It's tough to see my face with the visor reflection. That scar on my mouth - was that after Shatty slashed me in practice? It's pretty close, though - I'll give it an 8 out of 10.

Robby Fabbri

I think it's pretty accurate. They even got the scar on my nose. They made my facial hair look a lot better - it's not as patchy. That's a 10 out of 10.

Jake Allen

My skin tone is a little dark. I don't know - I think it looks a little more like (Brian Elliott) than me. My nose is a smaller there than it is in real life. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm going with a 4.1.

Alex Pietrangelo

Wow! That's pretty good - technology these days! - and they've even got the "C" on there. I still haven't gotten used to seeing that.
