Blues set franchise record for fastest 3 goals to start a game

The St. Louis Blues had a 3-0 lead just 2:06 into Saturday's eventual 6-1 rout of the Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center.
It was the fastest the Blues have ever scored three goals to begin a game (126 seconds) in team history.
The previous record, set on Jan. 10, 1980, was 226 seconds.

Jordan Kyrou opened the scoring just 20 seconds in on Saturday, and Zach Sanford followed that up with a goal at the 57 second mark before Kyrou scored again at 2:06 to secure the record.

Only four teams have ever got to three goals faster, and none have come close to the record in 33 years. The all-time record, held by the Washington Capitals, was 81 seconds and was set on Dec. 19, 1986.
"That was probably the quickest start I've ever had in a hockey game, to be honest," Kyrou said after the game. "I kind of surprised myself."
"That was a great start for us," added Sanford. "Exactly what we want to do. Attack right away, play hard, play aggressive."
With Saturday's win, the Blues improved to 5-2-1 to begin the season and are 3-1-1 in the last five games.
