NEW YORK / TORONTO - Calumet, Mich. - the winner of Kraft Hockeyville™ USA 2019 - will host the Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues for an NHL preseason game on Thursday, Sept. 26, Kraft Heinz, the National Hockey League (NHL®) and the National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) announced today.

The small town, which earned its designation as this year's most spirited hockey community in America after amassing the most votes in the online Kraft Hockeyville™ USA 2019 contest, won $150,000 in rink upgrades, $10,000 in equipment from NHLPA Goals & Dreams and the opportunity to host the NHL preseason game.
NBC Sports will provide live coverage of Kraft Hockeyville USA 2019 at 6 p.m. CT on NBCSN.
"The Red Wings are very excited to have the unique opportunity to take part in Kraft Hockeyville USA," said Red Wings executive vice president and general manager Ken Holland. "There are many Red Wings fans throughout northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, so we're excited to share in this special day to celebrate our great game playing against an old rival in the St. Louis Blues."

Since opening its doors in 1913, countless memories have been forged in Calumet, Mich., in the middle of Copper Country. The town's Calumet Colosseum is the oldest in-use indoor ice arena in the world, and residents look forward to implementing the prize money from Kraft Hockeyville™ USA 2019 in upgrades needed to keep the Colosseum thriving for years to come.
Since launching in Canada in 2006, Kraft Hockeyville™ has positively impacted more than 80 communities with over $4 million in rink upgrades across Canada and the U.S.
