After coming out victorious to end a losing streak on Tuesday night, the Chicago Blackhawks failed to repeat a win as they suffered a 3-0 loss to the Vancouver Canucks.
Vancouver's netminder Thatcher Demko recorded a 33-save shutout to stop the Blackhawks throughout the night. With the goalie on top of his game, it made their chances harder to find the back of the net according to Jason Dickinson.
"[Demko] is a pretty good goalie over there," Dickinson said. "It felt like we had a lot of chances, a lot of traffic to the net, a lot of tips but still just couldn't find a way to get that one to go home."

Tonight's loss marked the team's eight shutout loss against an opponent this season. Despite not scoring any goals, Seth Jones described the defensive battle that the Blackhawks provided. Throughout the matchup, he pointed out how players continued to compete through difficult stretches even with the results not on their side.
"We were okay," Jones said. "I thought we had stretches where we were really good [and then had] stretches where they kind of took over. But it's really a tight game throughout, I thought. I thought we did a lot of good things."
As for Dickinson, he felt that Alex Stalock continued to provide his high-end energy to keep the team motivated in the contest after making 26 saves off 28 shots.
"You love watching it," Dickinson said. "He goes out there and he has fun doing what he does. So, it gives us energy to go out there and do our thing."
As the team prepares to take on the Seattle Kraken on Saturday night, head coach Luke Richardson noted that the team has been in a similar position before earlier in the season with tough losses. Instead of being down on what happened, they focus on how they can rebound and find those offensive chances against their next opponent.
"That's kind of been the way we worked all year," Richardson said. "We'll just kind of keep staying positive. We've had a couple of stale games earlier in the year and we usually come back and get some goals the next game, so we know there'll be there."
