RELEASE: Blackhawks Announce Stanley Cup Qualifiers Broadcast Schedule

The Chicago Blackhawks, in conjunction with the National Hockey League and team broadcast partners, NBC Sports Chicago, WGN-AM 720 and Univision Radio WRTO-AM 1200, today announced the broadcast schedule for the 2020 Stanley Cup Qualifiers vs. Edmonton. The series will open on Saturday, August 1 at 2 p.m. at Rogers Place in Edmonton. That nationally televised game will air live locally on NBC 5 Chicago, beginning a best-of-five series in what will be a never-before-seen NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The rest of the series will air on NBC Sports Chicago with Game 2 taking place on Monday, August 3 at 9:30 p.m. and Game 3 will be Wednesday, August 5 at 9:30 p.m. NBC Sports Chicago game telecasts will be preceded by "Blackhawks Pregame Live" with an expanded edition of "Blackhawks Postgame Live" immediately following all games. Games 4 and 5, if necessary, will take place on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8, respectively, with times to be announced. All times listed are Central. All five possible games of the series vs. Edmonton will air on WGN-AM 720 and in Spanish on WRTO-AM 1200.

In addition, the Blackhawks will play one exhibition game prior to the Stanley Cup Qualifiers. That game will take place on Wednesday, July 29 at 5:30 p.m. vs. St. Louis in Edmonton at Rogers Place and air on NBC Sports Chicago Plus, WGNRadio.com and, in Spanish, on WRTO-AM 1200.

Chicago posted a 2-1-0 record vs. Edmonton during the 2019-20 regular season as each team protected home ice. The Blackhawks won 3-1 (Oct. 14) and 4-3 (March 5) at the United Center while the Oilers won, 5-3, on Feb. 11 in Edmonton. The Blackhawks and Oilers have met four times in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with the Oilers winning three of those series. They last met in the 1992 Conference Finals where Chicago won, 4-0.

Games on NBC Sports Chicago will also stream live to authenticated subscribers on NBCSportsChicago.com and the MyTeams by NBC Sports app. In addition, the radio rightsholder for the Chicago Blackhawks will air on WGN-AM 720 and stream on WGNRadio.com.
