Chicago closed out their two-game set with Dallas with a 5-1 loss at the United Center on Thursday evening, an even split of the midweek meetings.
Dominik Kubalik scored for the second stright game as the lone Blackhawks tally and Kevin Lankinen made 29 saves.

1st - 9:19 - Roope Hintz (Jamie Benn, Joe Pavelski) -- PP

The Stars opened the scoring on the game's first power play. Joe Pavelski sent a cross-ice feed to Jamie Benn near the goal line on the far side, with Kevin Lankinen going post to post to make a blocker stop. The rebound, though, fell right into the path of slot-crashing Roope Hintz, who put a shot over the sprawled netminder for a 1-0 lead.

1st - 14:05 - Dominik Kubalik (Vinnie Hinostroza, Philipp Kurashev)

For the second straight game, Vinnie Hinostroza found Dominik Kubalik for a Chicago tally. The former dug the puck out of a scrum in the corner and quickly found the latter making a back-post drive, where Kubalik one-touched home a shot past a diving Anton Khudobin in goal to make it a 1-1 game.

2nd - 1:13 - Jason Robertson (Roope Hintz, Esa Lindell)

Dallas regained the lead early in the second in 4-on-4 play off a turnover in the Chicago zone. Roope Hintz intercepted a pass, played give-and-go with Esa Lindell at the point and then fed Jason Robertson at the backdoor for the in-tight score.

2nd - 14:02 - Miro Heiskanen (Jamie Benn, Roope Hintz) -- PP

The lead increased to two later in the frame, again on the power play. Off a lengthy passing sequence, Jamie Benn tee'd up Miro Heiskanen at the point for a one-timer that made its way through a slew of bodies in front and past Kevin Lankinen for the 3-1 lead.

2nd - 15:47 - Blake Comeau (Andrew Cogliano)

The Stars struck off a stroke of bad luck less than two minutes later after Duncan Keith lost an edge with the puck along the offensive blue line, with Andrew Cogliano sending Blake Comeau the other way on a breakaway. Comeau converted the solo effort for a 4-1 advantage.

3rd - 0:50 - Blake Comeau (Roope Hintz)

Early in the third, Blake Comeau found his second of the game on a 2-on-1 as the Blackhawks got caught mid-change. Roope Hintz added his fourth point of the night sliding a pass across to Comeau for the finish and a 5-1 lead.
