Erik Gustafsson, Jonathan Toews and Alex DeBrincat all found the scoresheet and Kevin Lankinen made 32 stops in the win.

Chicago opened the scoring just over 100 seconds into the contest. Off a zone entry along the far side, Jonathan Toews pulled up along the wall and found the late-trailing Erik Gustafsson coming across the blue line. Gustafsson walked in and put a wrister on goal through traffic that beat Felix Sandstrom for an early 1-0 lead.

1st - 6:15 - Jonathan Toews (Sam Lafferty)

The Blackhawks killed off the game's opening penalty a few minutes later and, fresh out of the box, Jonathan Toews made it a 2-0 lead. As the captain's minor expired, Sam Lafferty intercepted a pass inside his own blue line and skated it to neutral ice before finding Toews at the far blue line with a breakaway feed. Toews walked in and tucked a wrister under the pad of Felix Sandstrom for his 12th of the year.

Philadelphia got on the board a short time later as Travis Konecny sprung Scott Laughton and Kevin Hayes on a 2-on-1 break from his own end. The former fed the latter from one circle to the other inside the Blackhawks zone, with Hayes putting a one-timer into the open net for a 2-1 game before Kevin Lankinen could get across the crease.

3rd - 7:45 - Alex DeBrincat (Patrick Kane, Jake McCabe)

The Blackhawks put the game away in the middle of the third period as the team's leading scorers connected an a beautiful cross-ice play to make it 3-1. From the far dot, Patrick Kane found Alex DeBrincat at the opposite circle for a one-timer that tied a career mark with the winger's 41st of the season.
