In his second season with Rockford, Reichel produced 36 points (14G, 22A) through 32 games and currently tied for seventh in league scoring. The Blackhawks recalled the young forward on Jan. 3 and recorded three points (1G, 2A) in three games. The German native set a single-season rookie scoring record with Rockford during the 2021-22 campaign by amassing 57 points (21G, 36A) in 56 games.
Seney, in his fifth professional season and first with the IceHogs, eared his first All-Star honors after notching 38 points (14G, 24A) in 32 games and tied for third in league scoring. The veteran forward remained consistent by not going more than two consecutive games without scoring a point. The Blackhawks also recalled Seney on Jan. 3 but reassigned him to the IceHogs on Wednesday morning.
Gust tallied 37 points (18G, 19A) through 34 games and his first All-Star honors. He recently passed his career high of 36 points (16G, 20A) that he set the previous season.
Reichel, Seney, and Gust are the first players to represent the IceHogs as All-Stars since goaltender Kevin Lankinen at the 2020 AHL All-Star Classic in Ontario, California. No All-Star Classic was held in the 2020-21 or 2021-22 seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The trio have led the IceHogs to a 3.56 goals for per game average, ranking eighth-best in the AHL. Combined, Reichel, Seney, and Gust have totaled 111 points (46G, 65A) and have accounted for 33.1% of Rockford's total scoring.
