Video: Richardson on goalie preseason rotation, Kane
Heading into the first game, head coach Luke Richardson discussed the two key factors on how the team can critique their play before the start of the regular season.
"I think we want to see steps in our structure and D-zone," Richardson said. "Playing really fast and killing some plays and transitioning that into some offense. Those are the two carrier key areas we want to start with, I think naturally we're going to create offense with some of the guys that we have. And if we can turn pucks over early in both D zone and neutral zone, that'll give us some advantage and outman situations on the rush, which obviously creates offense."
"We all feel like a team," Alex Vlasic said. "Everybody is feeling good. I think everyone's excited to get going here."
Netminders Petr Mrazek and Alex Stalock are expected to split time in goal in the first preseason game.
