VS. BUFFALO

The Blackhawks and Sabres meet for the first time since Nov. 17, 2019. Chicago won the game 4-1 and is 16-4-0 against Buffalo dating back to the beginning of the 2006-07 season. The Blackhawks are victorious in 15 of their last 16 contests against the Sabres. Kirby Dach registered two markers the last time these two clubs faced off.
Patrick Kane has points in 14 of 18 career games against the Sabres, including in four straight matchups with three of those four contests being multi-point efforts. Jonathan Toews has points in eight consecutive games against Buffalo.

GOING STREAKING

Patrick Kane (2G, 8A), Dylan Strome (3G, 4A) and Seth Jones (1G, 4A) each extended their point streaks to five-straight games with points on Saturday in Vegas. Kane has four-straight multi-point efforts. Alex DeBrincat has goals in three-straight games and points in his last four (3G, 4A).

ROAD WORK

With two assists on Saturday in Vegas, Patrick Kane extended his road assist streak to 11 games (3G, 15A), already the longest such stretch in franchise history. Only two players in NHL history have posted a longer such stretch: Wayne Gretzky (16 GP in 1984-85 w/ EDM; 14 GP in 1986-87 & 1985-86 w/ EDM; 12 GP in 1990-91 w/ LAK) and Brian Leetch (12 GP in 1996-97 w/ NYR).

HIT IT OFF

The Blackhawks recorded 46 hits in Saturday's game against Vegas, the most in a single game in franchise history. The second most was 45 hits on Oct. 27, 2019 against Los Angeles. Reese Johnson registered eight hits on Saturday, the second most of his career (11, Nov. 12, 2021 vs. ARI). The Blackhawks rank ninth in the NHL this season with 1,628 hits.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Tage Thompson - Thompson paces the Sabres in goals (27) and points (49) through 62 contests this season. He set career highs in goals, assists (22) and points this year. He ended a four-game point streak (3G, 2A) on March 27 against the New York Rangers, going scoreless. He recorded first career NHL hat trick on Feb. 19 against Colorado and scored the first shorthanded goal of NHL career on Feb. 15 against the New York Islanders. Last season, the Phoenix, Arizona native registered 14 points (8G, 6A) in 38 games with the Sabres.
Rasmus Dahlin - Dahlin leads the club in assists (32) and ranks third in points (41) in 64 games this season. His nine goals tie his career high set in debut season (2018-19) and he is just three points shy of tying his career high point total set during that same campaign. His 16 power-play points (2G, 14A) also pace the Sabres. Last season, the Lidkoping, Sweden ranked second on the team in assists (19) and paced club blueliners in points (23), playing in all 56 games.
Jeff Skinner - Skinner ranks second on the team in goals (27) and points (46) through 64 contests. His three game winners are second on the club 23 even- strength goals pace the team. He has an active four-game point streak (4G, 1A), his longest stretch of the season. He recorded single-game career highs in goals and points (4G, 1A) on Feb. 13 in Montreal. Last year, the Toronto, Ontario native recorded 14 points (7G, 7A) in 53 games with Buffalo.
