LAST TIME OUT

Chicago earned a comeback, overtime victory on Saturday night, 3-2 over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Nicolas Beaudin, Carl Soderberg and Alex DeBrincat scored in the win and Kevin Lankinen made 29 stops on the night.
Detroit earned a 4-2 victory on Saturday night in Nashville, snapping a two-game losing streak. Anthony Mantha (5G, 4A), Dylan Larkin (4G, 5A) and Filip Hronek (9A) share the team lead in scoring this season with nine points apiece.
The Blackhawks and Red Wings meet in Detroit for the first time this season. Chicago defeated Detroit in both matchups earlier this season at the United Center, 4-1 on Jan. 22 and 6-2 on Jan. 24. The Blackhawks combined for 10 goals in the two victories and their six markers on Jan. 24 matches a season high (Feb. 4).
Back in the same division again, Chicago and Detroit will do battle six more times during the 2020-21 campaign. The Original Six rivals have matched up 741 times, the most each has played against any other opponent, with their first showdown taking place on Nov. 24, 1926.

ROAD TRIPPIN'

Following a home-heavy two-weeks stretch with six of the last eight games of the United Center, the Blackhawks will embark on a nearly two-week road trip to Detroit, Carolina and Columbus beginning on Monday night in the Motor City.
On the other side of the trip, Chicago returns home for eight days before another two-week excursion to face Dallas, Florida and Tampa Bay. All told, the next five weeks will account for 43% of the team's entire road slate this season, with just eight road games total remaining over the final seven weeks of the year.

POINTS ADDING UP

The Blackhawks have just two regulation losses over their last 13 outings (7-2-4) and have climbed to two games over .500 for the second time this season (.563) with 18 points in 16 total matches.

CAT ATTACK

Alex DeBrincat netted his second overtime marker of the 2020-21 campaign on Thursday night, matching Sidney Crosby for the NHL lead. He shares 12th in the league averaging 1.33 points-per game played (min. 5 games). He has a point (6G, 7A) in seven of his last eight games played. The Farmington Hills, native has recorded six multi-point game in 12 skates this year, including a season-high three points (1G, 2A) on Thursday.
DeBrincat has a point in six of eight career games against the Red Wings and his 12 points (4G, 8A) match his most against any opponent (ANA and SJS).

DOMINATING AT THE DOT

The Blackhawks won a season-high 65 percent of their faceoffs against the Blue Jackets on Saturday night. Their previous best single-game performance this season came against Columbus on Jan. 29 (57.5%). It's Chicago's best single-game performance at the dot since they won 64.6% of their faceoffs on Feb. 18, 2017 vs. Edmonton.
Carl Soderberg won a season-high 12 of 15 draws (80 percent) vs. CBJ. It matched the second highest single-game faceoff win percentage of his career (min. 15 draws).

CLIMBING THE RANKS

Patrick Kane extended his season-opening home point streak to eight games with two assists on Saturday. He became the fourth Blackhawks player (Denis Savard, Doug Wilson and Bill Mosienko) to post multiple such streaks in their career.
He shares third in the NHL with 22 points and shares fourth with 15 helpers.
