The Farmington Hills, Mich., native is now tied for third on the team with 34 points (19G, 15A) on the season. His 19 goals share second among rookies this year. Only 19 Blackhawks rookies have reached the 40-point plateau in franchise history, and only 15 total Chicago rookies have notched 20 or more goals.
SUPER SCHMALTZ
Nick Schmaltz registered an assist on Tuesday night to extend his point streak (2G, 2A) to four games. It is the second time this season, and third time in his career, he has notched a point streak stretching four or more games. From Jan. 3-10 this season, he matched a career high with a five-game point streak (5G, 3A). In his last 15 games, the 21-year-old has tallied 15 points (8G, 7A), and his eight goals since the new year share fourth in the NHL during that span.
ONE-TIMERS
- Kane recorded a marker in the third period on Tuesday night. It was his 20th career goal against the Flames. That total is the most against any non-Central Division opponent in his career. He has three points (1G, 2A) over his last two games, and his 53 points (21G, 32A) lead the Blackhawks this year.
- Jonathan Toews notched a helper against the Flames. He has two assists over his last three games and three points (1G, 2A) vs. Calgary this year. He won 18 of his 26 (69 percent) draws. It was the 10th time this season he won at least 15 faceoffs in a game.
- Artem Anisimov picked up an assist. He has 13 goals and seven helpers this year.
