Blackhawks to wear camouflage jerseys on Nov. 11

The Chicago Blackhawks will wear one-of-a-kind camouflage warm-up jerseys on Friday, Nov. 11, before hosting the Washington Capitals at the United Center at 7:30 p.m., while coaches, players and broadcasters will wear camouflage ties. This marks the seventh season that the Blackhawks will wear the jerseys, courtesy of Boeing, in support of the USO of Illinois and those that serve in our nation's military, at home and away. The USO is also celebrating 75 years of strengthening America's military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.

Each warm-up jersey will be autographed by the player who wore it and auctioned off online, in addition to the ties worn by coaches, broadcasters and players, which will be accompanied by an autographed photo. The auction on chicagoblackhawks.com will begin on Friday, Nov. 11, and run through 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, with all proceeds benefitting the USO of Illinois.
In honor of Veterans Day, the Blackhawks will have a special Veterans Day ceremonial puck drop and recognize 75 veterans who have served the United States from World War II through the most recent conflicts in the Middle East on-ice during the anthem. Additionally, U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley and USO of Illinois President and CEO Alison Ruble will introduce six veterans from the five military services spanning from World War II to the present for a Veterans Day commemoration on-ice during the first intermission. Through Boeing, 100 tickets were donated to allow military members and their guests the opportunity to attend Friday's game. Many Blackhawks season ticketholders and fans also donated their tickets to the USO of Illinois for active military members.
Friday's game will be broadcast locally on CSN and can be heard on WGN Radio AM-720.
