SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Vinni Lettieri and defensemen Daemon Hunt and Dakota Mermis from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Wild also placed defenseman Jonas Brodin on Long-Term Injured Reserve.

Lettieri, 28 (2/6/95), has recorded three points (2-1=3), four penalty minutes (PIM) and 15 shots on goal in 13 games for Minnesota this season. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound native of Excelsior, Minn., has also skated in 10 games for Iowa this season, posting eight points (4-4=8), four PIM and 36 shots on goal. For his career, Lettieri owns 237 points (120-117=237) in 277 career AHL games in eight seasons with Hartford (2016-20), San Diego (2020-22) and Providence (2022-23) and Iowa (2023-24). He has tallied 21 points (9-12=21) in 96 career NHL contests in six seasons with the New York Rangers (2017-19), Anaheim Ducks (2020-22), Boston (2022-23) and Minnesota (2023-24), and has notched four points (2-2=4) and 10 PIM in seven career Calder Cup Playoff games with San Diego (2021) and Providence (2023).
The Wild signed Lettieri to a two-year, two-way contract on July 1, 2023. He wears sweater No. 10 with Minnesota.
Hunt, 21 (5/15/02), made his NHL debut at WSH (10/27) and has appeared in five games with Minnesota this season. The 6-foot-1, 196-pound native of Brandon, Manitoba, has recorded nine points (1-8=9), nine PIM and 13 shots in 14 games with Iowa this season, leading team defensemen in points and assists, and ranks T-2nd on the team with a plus-3 rating. For his career, Hunt owns 21 points (4-17=21), 23 PIM, two game-winning goals (GWG) and 81 shots in 79 career AHL games over parts of three seasons with Iowa (2020-24). He has also notched one assist while playing in two games during the 2023 Calder Cup Playoffs.
Hunt was originally selected by the Wild in the third round (65th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft. He wears sweater No. 48 with Minnesota.
Mermis, 29 (1/5/1994), has collected five points (3-2=5), 21 penalty minutes (PIM) and 22 blocked shots in 14 games with Minnesota this season. He has set NHL career bests in games played, points, goals and PIM and ranks sixth on the team in PIM and T-6th in blocked shots. The 6-foot, 195-pound native of Alton, Ill., has also recorded two assists, 10 shots on goal and 12 PIM in five games with Iowa this season and was named team captain on Oct. 12. For his career, Mermis has collected nine points (4-5=9) and a plus-7 rating in 41 career NHL games with Arizona (2017-19), New Jersey (2019-20) and Minnesota (2020-23). He owns 139 points (21-118=139), 421 PIM and 693 shots on goal in 431 career AHL games with Springfield (2015-16), Tucson (2016-19), Binghamton (2019-20) and Iowa (2021-23).
The Wild originally signed Mermis as a free agent on Oct. 9. 2020. He wears sweater No. 6 with Minnesota.
Brodin, 30 (7/12/93), has recorded nine points (1-8=9), and two PIM in 25 games for Minnesota this season. He ranks T-1st on the team with a plus-6 rating ranks and second with 62 blocked shots this season.
The Wild will host the Calgary Flames at 7 p.m. CT tomorrow, Dec. 14, on Bally Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM.
