The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild's American Hockey League affiliate, went 2-1-1 in four games last week. The Wild ranks T-2nd in the AHL in fewest power-play goals against (7), third with a 26.4 power-play percentage (14-for-53) and in fewest goals against (35) and is fourth with a 88.1 penalty kill percentage (52-for-59).

The Wild earned a 3-0 victory in its first contest of the week against the IceHogs Wednesday at BMO Harris Bank Center (11/7). F Cal O'Reilly led the team with two points (1-1=2) while F Sam Anas and F Matt Read each scored a goal. G Kaapo Kahkonen stopped all
28 shots for his first career shutout. Iowa recorded a point in its second contest of the week with a 5-4 overtime loss against Bakersfield Thursday at Wells Fargo Arena (11/8). D Eric Martinsson and O'Reilly each tallied two assists. Anas, F Gerald Mayhew, F Mitch McLain and F Mason Shaw netted a goal apiece. G Andrew Hammond made 36 saves through overtime. The Wild fell in its final contest of the week, 4-3, against the Condors Saturday in Des Moines (11/10). F Dmitry Sokolov registered two goals while Anas netted a goal in his third straight game. Hammond stopped 29-of-33 shots. Iowa posted its second shutout victory of the week, 3-0, Wednesday vs. Milwaukee (11/14). Shaw (0-2=2) adn D Carson Soucy (1-1=2) led the Wild with two points each and F Gerry Fitzgerald also netted a goal. Kahkonen made all 20 saves for his third straight win, second consecutive shutout.

O'Reilly leads the Wild with 15 points (3-12=15) in 14 games this season. Shaw ranks second with 12 points (3-9=12) and ranks T-3rd amongst AHL rookies in assists. F Kyle Rau (4-5=9) and Martinsson (0-9=9) are tied for third with nine points apiece. Hammond is 6-3-1 with a 2.97 GAA and a .857 SV% in 10 games this season, ranking T-2nd amongst AHL goalies in wins. Kahkonen is 3-1-0 with a 0.99 GAA, a .962 SV% and two shutouts in four games and leads all qualified League goalies in GAA and SV% and ranks T-1st in shutouts.
