4.11.18 Prospect Report

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild's American Hockey League affiliate, went 1-1-1 in three games last week. The Wild sits at 78 points this season -- just three points shy of tying its franchise record for most points in a single-season set during the 2016-17 campaign.

Iowa earned a 7-3 victory in its first game of the week against Chicago Friday at Wells Fargo Arena (4/6). F Cal O'Reilly (0-3=3) and F Kyle Rau (1-2=3) led the team with three points each. F Sam Anas (2-0=2), F Gerald Mayhew (1-1=2) and F Zack Mitchell (1-1=2) tallied two points apiece. G Steve Michalek made 27 saves.
The Wild earned a point in its second game of the week with a 3-2 overtime loss against Milwaukee Sunday at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena (4/8). Anas and Mayhew each scored for the Wild while G Niklas Svedberg stopped 34-of-37 shots.
Iowa fell in its final game of the week, 5-3, against Rockford Tuesday in Des Moines (4/10). Rau (2-0=2) and Mayhew (0-2=2) led the Wild with two points apiece while Svedberg made 21 saves.
O'Reilly leads the Wild with 61 points (14-47=61) in 73 games this season and ranks T-3rd in the AHL in assists and T-6th in scoring. Anas ranks second with 60 points (26-34=60) while ranking T-4th in the league with four shootout goals and 10th in scoring. F Justin Kloos ranks third on the team with 48 points (19-29=48), ranking T-5th amongst AHL rookies in assists, sixth in scoring, T-8th in PPG (7) and T-13th in goals.
Svedberg is 18-18-7 with a 2.87 GAA, a .905 SV% and two shutouts in 44 games this season. Michalek is 12-7-6 with a 3.13 GAA and a .906 SV% in 25 contests.
Iowa will close out its 2017-18 season with a home-and-home series against Milwaukee this weekend.
