No matter how you celebrate, the holiday season is one of the cheeriest times of the year. As Minnesotan temperatures drop and backyard ponds freeze into rinks, the temptation to curl up around the fire with friends, family and good food is strong -- even for Wild players. Here, a few members of the team share their favorite parts of the holidays.

Marcus Foligno: "We do Mass, and then it's just a feast from when you get back to the house, enjoying yourself with family and friends. I think sometimes we just go right until two in the morning. The tradition we have with our family is we do crab legs on Christmas Eve, we always do seafood and stuff like that for a late dinner."
Alex Stalock: "Waking up and celebrating. This time we'll have two kids daughter Selena was born Nov. 8], so it'll be super exciting, not only for us but both our families are from here so that part of it is huge. [Son] Simon's getting to the age now where he's realizing Santa's coming and there's gonna be gifts under the tree. It will probably be the first year where he really is gonna wake up and run down there and be excited, so I'm looking forward to that. A lot of kid time."

Eric Staal: "We try to have a dinner one of the days that we can, normally it's Christmas Day. We'll have a big family dinner and get everyone we can together. It's different now, with brothers playing in different places, and my parents kind of picking and choosing and my in-laws also have to pick and choose who goes where to what Christmas and however it works out schedule-wise. But wherever we are we usually have a big dinner with whoever's around and just enjoy family time and relax. It's an important time of year to be together."
Jason Zucker: "We haven't had too many [traditions] the past couple years, we've kind of been all over the place. We celebrate Christmas and we'll light the candles and do that stuff for Hanukkah. This year we're talking about maybe going back to Vegas for a couple days so we maybe will celebrate with my family. It's kind of been a smorgasbord of different stuff for us so far."
Tyler Ennis: "Just your standard dinner with family and opening presents and stuff. I love Christmas, though. I'll put the tree up at some point here, get the lights going. It's definitely my favorite time of year."
Mikko Koivu: "We're trying to do a little bit of both; the American way and then we want to keep the Finnish traditions there as well that we bring from home. I think that's important; we always had that as kids, I know my wife did and I think that's something that we both probably want to make a little bit of our own. Then [traditions] from here, there's things that we're familiar with and things that we never did and that's kind of fun to bring them together as well."
Mikael Granlund: "Christmas is a time to take it easy for a little bit and be with your family and just enjoy your time with the family. I like the music, when you start hearing those songs it gets you in that Christmas mood. I eat really good on Christmas. I'm not big with the decorations or anything, but I like the feeling and the 'take it easy' attitude."
