Sam Anas Prospect Report 10.17.18

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild's American Hockey League affiliate, earned a win in its sole game last week to stretch its win streak to three games, the best start to a season in team history. The Wild ranks second in the AHL in fewest goals against (5), T-4th in penalty kill percentage (91.7, 11-for-12) and fifth in power-play percentage (30.8, 4-for-13).

Iowa defeated the Texas Stars with a 4-3 shootout win Friday at Wells Fargo Arena (10/12). F Gerry Fitzgerald led Iowa with two points (1-1=2) while F Mike Liambas and D Ryan Murphy each netted a goal during regulation. F Sam Anas scored the shootout winner and G Andrew Hammond stopped 30-of-33 shots through overtime and all three shootout attempts.
The Wild will travel to Texas for its first road games of the 2018-19 season on Friday and Saturday.
