DALLAS -- Another day, another Johansson.
Fewer than 24 hours after
taking Filip Johansson
24th overall Friday night, the Minnesota Wild selected another Swedish defenseman with the same last name in the fifth round (148th overall). With a large frame and ability to finish, Simon Johansson is believe to have considerable upside.

Here's more on the latter Johansson:
Height: 6-foot-2
Weight:170 lbs.
Shoots: Right
Hometown: Stockholm, Sweden
2017-18 team: Djurgardens Junior
NHL Central Scouting Rank: 88 (European skaters)
Scouting report: The 19-year-old totaled 36 points (16-20=36) and 20 penalty minutes in 43 games with Djurgardens Junior in the Swedish Junior League -- the country's top grouping of junior teams -- and adding one goal in eight games with Djurgardens in the Swedish Elite League in 2017-18. Johansson also recorded six points (5-1=6) and four PIM in four games with Sweden's Under-20 club at the 2018 Five Nations Tournament.
Johansson led all Swedish Junior League defensemen in goals and points last season.
He's the son of former Swedish professional player Thomas Johansson and cousin to the Columbus Blue Jackets' Alexander Wennberg.
Brent Flahr, Wild senior vice president of hockey operations:"Johansson is a late bloomer. He's a good sized D-man that competes hard and brings an offensive dimension. He belongs to a good program in Djurgarden and we look forward to watching his development."
