"They've beat us, what, three times now. We've got work to do, and I think we know it," said Stars defenseman Marc Methot. "If anything, it's maybe another learning experience for us as a group. They're one of the best teams in the NHL, and you want to measure up to that team and know that you belong and again, like I said, we've got to get better, and I think it's a good wake-up call for this group."
The loss was the fourth in the last six games (2-4-0) for the Stars who are in the first wild-card spot in the Western Conference. They are one point ahead of Calgary.
The Stars did not make any moves before Monday's NHL trade deadline.
The Stars recalled forward Jason Dickinson from Texas of the AHL late Monday afternoon.
Ben Bishop will get the start in goal Tuesday.
Tuesday is the second of a five-game homestand for the Stars.
