SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Sharks announced today their direct participation in the NHL 23 World Championship via the San Jose Sharks NHL 23 Club Championship Esports event. Sharks fans & NHL 23 gamers within California will compete in the Online Versus game mode for their share of a $5,000 prize pool, and the winner will represent the Sharks in the NHL 23 World Championship as the SJSharks Gaming Local Ambassador. This fully online Esports competition will take place on the LeagueGaming website over two days with a main bracket to be played on Saturday, February 4, and the Top 8 players will continue to play on Sunday, February 5. Eligible participants include gamers who reside in California using Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X consoles.
