After a long, hot summer, the seasons have finally changed and fall has arrived. The temperatures have dropped (however temporarily - this is California, after all), the leaves have started changing colors, pumpkin spice everything has started appearing on store shelves, oh, and hockey games have started being played.
In honor of one of the best seasons of the year, sjsharks.com has decided to rank the top five signs that fall has finally arrived.
5. Back To School
Blessing to some (parents) and a curse to others (students), fall usually marks the back-to-school season, with the smell of new books, pencils, and the despair of homework filling the air.
Honestly, this has nothing to do with the Sharks. We just feel that pumpkins are necessary to include.
(Please pretend that Martin Jones is drinking a Pumpkin Spice Latte).
3. Apple Picking
Driving out to an orchard to pick apples... It's a time-honored fall tradition for some families. And the Sharks have one of the most legendary apple-pickers out there in Joe Thornton (did you know that he's only the 13th player in NHL history with over 1,000 of them? Because he is).
Of course, Chris Tierney's apple from the other night isn't too bad either.
2. Sweater Weather
It's finally time to take those hockey sweaters out of storage after a long summer.
1. Hockey is Back
Really, what else could be first?
