In response to the food shortage crisis in Ottawa, the Senators Community Foundation is making a gift of $75,000 to the Ottawa Food Bank.

Annually, the Ottawa Food Bank provides food for upwards of 400,000 meals across the Ottawa community, nearly half of which are for families with children. The Senators Community Foundation's donation will contribute to 21,300 meals for those in need.

Helping those children and families most in need has been a core focus of the Senators Community Foundation, having supported the breakfast programs at BGC and Ontario Network of Education. This gift will continue championing that cause, providing an immediate impact for the Ottawa Food Bank helping to support our Ottawa community.

"We are touched by the quick response of the Ottawa Senators Foundation to our news that food donations are down. Their generous donation of $75,000 to the Ottawa Food Bank will be felt by the entire network of food programs across the city, as it will help to provide approximately 21,300 meals to food insecure families and individuals in our city." - Rachel Wilson, President Ottawa Food Bank

The Ottawa Senators Hockey Club and the Senators Community Foundation invite our Sens community to bring non-perishable food items to drop-off locations at our upcoming pre-season games as well as select Sensplex locations.
