The Buffalo Sabres have signed defenseman Jacob Bryson to a one-year contract extension worth $900,000, the team announced Thursday.
Bryson, 27, has seven assists in 42 games with the Sabres this season and has dressed in each of the team’s last nine contests entering Thursday’s matchup with the Utah Hockey Club. He has three assists and nine blocked shots in that span.
The left-shot defenseman was drafted by the Sabres during the fourth round in 2018 and has played 248 games spanning five seasons with the team. He previously signed a one-year deal to return the organization after reaching unrestricted free agency last summer.
Bryson is now signed through the 2025-26 season.
