The Buffalo Sabres signed defenseman Gavin McCarthy to a three-year, entry-level contract on Tuesday.
McCarthy, 20, just finished his third season at Boston University. As the Terriers’ captain, he collected 21 points (4+17) with a plus-12 rating in 36 games.
Buffalo drafted McCarthy, a former Junior Sabre, in the third round of the 2023 NHL Draft.
